Best Practices of CSR in the field of Education in India

As a part of UNICEF and CII’s effort to help corporates effectively structure their CSR activities in education, Tata Strategic Management Group (Tata Strategic) has collaborated with UNICEF and CII to prepare a report “Best Practices of CSR in the field of Education in India”. This report was released on 14th December, 2010 at the Conference “Universalisation of Education - Role of Corporate India” organised by CII, UNICEF with Tata Strategic Management Group as the Knowledge Partner.

The report “Best Practices of CSR in the field of Education in India” identifies various CSR models that a corporate can deploy and the critical success factors for these models. In each of these models, this report highlights some of the key initiatives undertaken by the corporate sector in the field of education as part of their CSR activities and identifies some key learnings from these initiatives. Corporate and Other institutions wanting to replicate any of these models should understand the nuances and the critical success factors for these initiatives and suitably align their program strategies in accordance with the best practices for these initiatives.
